My son was fussing a bit after he was put down for a nap. I went down to fold laundry in the room right under his (or ours, as the case may be, LOL). Two blood curdling screams later, I rush up to find him fast asleep. He's fine, I'm a wreck!

My girls are upstairs chanting "Anne...Shirley...has a very bad...temmmm-perrrr. Anne...Shirley..."

I've become a cloth diaper-aholic. Blame Elizabeth. ;-)

Decluttering is going well. One huge box of books and 4 or so large bags of clothes went out last week, and a week later I was able to find another large bag of clothes and a bag of games/toys that are missing too many pieces or are too broken to be useful. I think we are finally getting closer to having what we *need* instead of what we need plus alltheseotherthingsjustincase.

Having an oldest child with learning disabilities plus a mother who is a curriculum junkie (what I did before becoming a clothdiaperaholic, LOL) results in shelves full of curriculum, hoping to find the "one thing" that will turn the key and open the child's mind to learning. Most of it is getting weeded out as I see her "getting it" in her own time, in her own way (usually after an intense learning time, then a *break* to help it all settle in).

We got a used bumbo seat for the baby. He loves it! Just weighed him today too, and were shocked to see he was almost 20 lbs at 5 months! With our girls, we were weighing them with extra clothes on at a year, hoping to hit the 20 lb mark so we could turn them around in their carseats.

Despite being old and gray and wearing bifocals, I am in awe of how much stronger I have become - physically, emotionally, mentally - through the grace of God and my corresponding efforts to raise these five (FIVE! when did that happen?) kids. I was always kind of a weak person, in oh so many ways. I still wouldn't call myself *strong*, but I'm much strongER.

Hope everyone has a blessed, blessed weekend.
