Finally, FINALLY, word is getting around and some research is being done on something I have been experiencing for the last 10 years: Dysphoric Milk Ejection Reflex (D-MER). It was first being called "Depressive Milk Ejection Reflex" but on further study there are women who have it who do not fit the "depressive" label but are more on the "anxious" side, hence the change to "dysphoric". Basically, D-MER is a sensation of depression and/or anxiety when the baby latches on and starts nursing. It typically goes away a short time after let-down. It is definitely muti-faceted though, which can be seen in the results of a survey on the D-MER website.
