Monday Monday

A peak outside~
Rain, and a jungle of a lawn. We pay our neighbor's brother to cut it, and they sometimes let a week go by in between cuts. Well, this was a bad week to do that! It's been raining for days since the time they were due back, and it probably could have used a cut after the first week had passed.

A peak inside~
I'm decluttering (as usual, right?)...but this time it's curriculum!  I need to get rid of things we aren't using, and like my wise dh always says, it's going to cost a lot more money to buy a bigger house than to re-buy Teaching Textbooks again if you need it, right? So here we stay, and I have 3 boxes of curriculum to sell. And because, well, I had to make room for this and this (affiliate links). You bloggers out there are such enablers, LOL!

ETA:  One box just arrived! This is my favorite book: :)

A peak into my kitchen~
So much fruit now, I love it!  Strawberries from the farm, picked by our own hands, cherries, blueberries...yum.  Bacon wrapped pork cutlets for dh's birthday dinner.

A peak into my heart~
I am so thankful for my dh. Praying for him on his birthday eve! He's finally joining the old folk here (*cough*  me *cough*)
Praying for my Dad and brother to find sufficient employment to pay their bills
Thankful that the woman who was the admissions director at the high school we are shooting for is retiring - she seemed very anti-homeschooling and I think it contributed to the girls not being accepted this year.

A peak into my kidney ;-)
Stone!!! There aren't enough exclamation points to express how much that hurt.  Wound up in the emergency room last weekend (one of the zillion reasons why I'm thankful for dh who got me there and stayed with me all night). It was SO busy...by the looks of things 9/10ths of the people there were NOT there for any sort of emergency.   Can't you do that on a night I'm NOT in agony, sir?   But all's well that ends well.  And drugs are my friend.   This was my first kidney stone and I'm hoping my last.

A peak into my procrastination~
It's now Tuesday morning, so I'm going to post this as-is...if I don't, I know I will just delete. Trying to be authentic and real here. ;-)

Love to all...

  2. Oh, ow! Glad to hear you're feeling better, but I really hope it's your last stone, too!

I really need to declutter, too, and TT is probably one of those things that is going to go here as well.

  3. Thank you both. Angela, I'm glad I'm not the only one considering giving away TT, for some reason I feel guilty about it.
