Today's weather topic was temperature. We talked about Celcius and Farenheit, and different types of thermometers. In the "I learn as much as my kids by homeschooling" category, I had never heard of maximum-minimum thermometers that tell the high and low temps for a day by using magnets (also called a Six's thermometer according to wikipedia)
We practiced reading temps with a paper thermometer, and the girls are currently creating a temperature map of our house. So far we know the dining room is hotter than the living room. :)
For art, they made more clothes for their fairy dolls. My plan of trying out our new watercolor pencils by making rainbows will have to wait.
Totally unrelated, but we also read a cute book called Toad by the Road by Joann Ryder. The book is divided into seasons, with cute/quirky poems and charming illustrations. There are plenty of facts about frogs and toads sprinkled in there too for your learning pleasure.
