The Story of Stuff


You've probably all seen this ~20min video, The Story of Stuff, but as I continue to go through the house, getting rid of things, its message is really hitting me. I think a small portion of what it says is "spin" - twisting facts to make a point - but in general I think it's something most Americans need to watch.

I want to keep this in the forefront of my mind - every little needless thing I bring into my house is harming someone somewhere down the line.

Wondering how to reconcile my thoughts on this with the perceived "need" to fill some Easter baskets in a week! Ack, a WEEK! Is next week really Holy Week??
