Simple Woman's Daybook - June 23

Please stop by Peggy's for more entries to her Simple Woman's Daybook.

Outside my Window... the lawn is freshly mowed, the dead patch from the %$#&# Slip 'n' Slide is getting better, no sign of our recently planted seeds.

I am thinking... about something my dh said, about my grandmother and her troubles, about moving or staying put

I am thankful for... a roof over my head, my 5yo's love and joyful presence

From the kitchen... a large fruit smoothie into which I accidentally dumped a ton of ricemilk powder. Luckily it was still good! Tonight? A creative mix of leftovers, most likely.

I am creating... a creative mix of leftovers, like I just said. ;-) Otherwise, not much, unless you can count the mess I'm creating in my mind by mulling over the things in my "I am thinking" section. Oh, and a choir robe for the church's sewing guild which is NOT (let me repeat, NOT) going well

I am going... to the library sometime this week to calm my older girls' latest obsession with Nancy Drew and Betsy-Tacy books

I am wearing... royal blue t-shirt and white shorts

I am reading... You are Your Child's First Teacher by Rahima Baldwin

I am hoping... for some mental relief, that answers to some questions become clearer, that dh and I become of one mind on some issues

I am hearing... the hum of the bathroom fan, pages turning

Around the house... laundry! Monday brings many extra loads after taking Sunday off

One of my favorite things... peace and quiet

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week... haven't planned yet and honestly I'm still too tired to think about it! Wish I liked coffee. ;-)

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you... some baby birds from a past spring.
