It's my party and I'll whine if I want to

Before breaking into my whinefest, I wanted to thank all my commenters from the bottom of my heart! It is so nice to come here (or my email) and see that someone has visited and said hello. :)

Now for the whine. I'll try to keep it short. As I've said before, we've been thinking about moving, then staying, then moving for at least 5 years now. We finally decided to stay for the next five years as a plan to fix up the house more and save a bigger down payment. All well and good. Recently, however, I was *sure* we could just make this house work. Through all my crazy circular thinking (we have to stay - NO, this place is horrible -- we HAVE to move or I'll go nuts -- no, we can make it work! LOL) I kept coming back to two things. One, our neighbors are very good as far as that goes. Some are even great. Friendly, yet don't want to "be friends" and that's just how we like it. And two, the fact that we have a nice backyard with trees and NO TICKS. Because you can find trees anywhere around here, but not a wooded backyard without ticks. And I love my wooded view (in summer. In the winter the leaves fall and you can see the houses right behind us, LOL)

Well, today we found a tick on Batty. I know she must have gotten it this afternoon, and the only place she had been was the backyard. I'm pretty sure it's a dog tick, and we're not terribly worried or anything (but prayers are always appreciated that she doesn't get sick from it). We've lived her 10+ years and never a tick.

I don't understand why *constantly* as soon as I get thankful for something, and openly express my thanks to God, he takes that thing away.

I hope it's a sign that God wants us to move, because if it's not, my only other thought is that He wants me to lose my mind, and that doesn't sound as nice, LOL. :(
