We finally found our cheeseburger bird!

All summer, I've been hearing a bird go CHEESEburger CHEESEburger CHEESEburger CHEESE! And *loudly* - WOW, it was one of the loudest birds I'd heard.

Several google searches brought up nothing. There were several mentions of "cheeseburger birds" but none were possibilities, either because they explained a different sound than I was hearing, or it wasn't a bird that lives around here.

I even went to All About Birds and listened to the songs of most of the birds in our neighborhood. Nothing.

Well today I *saw it*. It was sitting on our neighbor's gazebo roof, and I could see its beak moving so I know it was the right bird. It was a Carolina wren!

Seeing that All About Birds says that Carolina wrens are known for being loud clinched it for me. It's no wonder I couldn't figure it out though, several websites have different calls for the Carolina wren than the one I heard. I did find a few Carolina wrens on YouTube singing the right song, though. ;-)

Phew, I'm glad that's settled. I can go on with my little bird-loving life now.
