Only from a homeschooler...

Leah (5) is so funny.  She's learning Latin through her CLAA arithmetic class - a few weeks ago she said, "Mom, I want to be called Novem or Novaginta. Leah doesn't suit me.  I'm tired of writing out all the letters of Leah (her real name is longer).  With Novem I can just write the Roman Numerals!"   Then yesterday she came upstairs all by herself when it was time for bed.  She read the clock with the Roman numerals, but claims she can't read a normal analog clock!    I think maybe she was just born in the wrong time and place... she'd look cute in a toga. ;-)
